FORT HAYS TECH | NORTH CENTRAL WITH IMPRESSIVE PERFORMANCE AT RECENT SKILLSUSA COMPETITION

[Beloit, May 8, 2024] Three programs from North Central Kansas Technical College participated in the annual SkillsUSA competition in Hutchinson, KS from April 22 -26th. Competing in Welding, Diesel Technology, and Automotive Technology categories, NCK Tech emerged triumphant, with several students earning gold medals and securing their spot at the National SkillsUSA competition.

The NCK Tech Diesel Technology program from the Beloit campus showcased their skills and expertise, earning top honors in the competition. Austin Vowinckel secured a spot in the upcoming SkillsUSA national competition being held in Atlanta, GA in June.

–  Bronze Medal: Linden Pacey

Students from the Welding program on the Beloit campus earned top honors with their precision craftsmanship and teamwork, bringing home Gold and Bronze medals in the competition. The welding fabrication team also secured a spot in the upcoming SkillsUSA national competition.

While narrowly missing the podium, Daylen Vaughn from the Hays Automotive Technology program displayed a commendable performance, showcasing the program’s commitment to excellence.

As these students gear up to represent NCK Tech at the National competition in June, the entire NCK Tech community stands behind them, celebrating their achievements and wishing them continued success.
