This course introduces students to the principles of digital switching and provides an overview of soft-switching technologies. Students will explore the evolution of voice communications systems, from traditional PBX (Private Branch Exchange) to modern VoIP-based systems. Topics include digital telephony fundamentals, call processing, and basic soft-switching concepts. Hands-on labs will focus on configuring basic PBX systems, implementing voice features, and troubleshooting common issues.
